Compass Staff

Jeremiah Hartin
Lead Pastor
Our Lead Pastor and his family have been at Compass since 2021. Jeremiah and Mindy were married in 2005 and are the blessed parents of two fantastic kids. Before coming to Compass, the Hartin family served as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) for 9 years, most of that time in Indonesia. Jeremiah enjoys reading, hiking, camping, aviation, and baseball. He earned a B.A. in geography from CSU Sacramento and a Master of Divinity from Multnomah Biblical Seminary. In life and ministry Jeremiah finds joy abiding in Jesus as well as encouraging and equipping others to do the same.

Glennis Wilson
Finance
We moved up here in 1984 with Jennifer and Christopher, visited Combie/Compass one month later and never left. I worked as a teacher’s assistant and later ran the library for Forest Lake Christian School for 14 years. After that, 2 years as back office nurse for a local doctor. Retiring in 2000 I began many wonderful years traveling on the back of Daniel’s Harley and cruising with friends.
Daniel went home to his Savior in 2020. Both Jennifer and Christopher have moved on with their lives and I now have the blessing of my teenage granddaughter, Jay, living with me.
I started working as a secretary in the church office in 2000. As time went on I became the financial secretary and now also office administrator. I have always enjoyed gardening and organizing things, thus in the past organizing landscaping work days here at church.
It has been a joy for me to see how over the years God has always provided for Combie/Compass financially.
A prayer I have hanging on my kitchen cabinet.
Lord, take me where You want me to go;
Let me meet who You want me to meet;
Tell me what You want me to say, and
Keep me out of Your way.

Rebekah Gregory
Worship Director
I joined the Compass staff in 2019 as the Worship Director but had served as a member of the team for over 10 years. My husband Garrett and I met at Compass and married in 2019. We have two amazing sons who keep us laughing and very busy. We enjoy exploring God’s creation specifically in nature and at the Yuba River. We are very competitive and enjoy sports and card and board games.
It was clear that the Lord had special plans for me to use the gifts He gave me to serve Him when I was about 19 years old, but it wasn’t until I was in my late 20s did, I feel like I was called to work in worship Ministry as a profession. I am passionate about leading others to worship our amazing, sovereign, and almighty God. Worship is more than just singing; it is how we live! We can worship no matter where we are but if our heart and mind are fixed on the one who saved us then we are worshiping in our day-to-day lives. Corporate worship is a powerful thing and something I don’t take for granted and love watching the Holy Spirit move through His people as we sing praises to Him!
